Naming the Products…………

So in February of this year the FAB Set went up to the Collection 2000 head office to name the new Colour Intense Solo Eye Shadows. A few months ago I received the eye shadows that we have named! I have tested the eye shadows on recent photoshoots and I love how strong the pigments are and they are so easy to blend. They’re in the shops now so go and check the Colour Intense Solo Eye Shadow out.

Mamma La Rocca

Last Month I went down to London for a photoshoot with Mamma La Rocca an online mother and baby store. The models for the shoot were picked from the UK's Real Mums, Real Fit Cake Lingerie competition. The company had run the competition to find three real mums to be the models for the new collections. It was a great relaxing day as the team and the models were such a pleasure to work with.

Here's some behind the scenes photo's of the lovely house we got to do the shoot in, Tamara Peel (the photographer) doing her thing and me doing the make-up.

Well Done to the winners Charlie, Helen and Letanya all stunning mums and mums to be who looked fantastic.

Topshop Make-up

I have recently bought a few items from the Topshop make-up range one being cream blush in flush- £6 and the other being the lip polish in coral- £6. I really like the colour intensity of these two products. I think the cream blush goes on well and stays put. The lip polish is a great colour, smells nice and is buildable. I have used the products on a few shoots, the models seem to like the products too. Topshop make-up is a great range for a fantastic price.

CIBTAC Body Artist of the Year Award 2010

I got into the final for the CIBTAC Body Artist of the Year 2010 competition. It was an honour to get down to the final four as I have only been bodypaint for just over a year. The competition took place at the lovely Kensington roof gardens in London. We had two hours to complete the bodypainting. The theme was vitality, here is my design.

Unfortunately I didn't win but Well done to Carolyn Roper who was crowned CIBTAC Body Artist of the Year 2010 (2nd design in from the left) and everyone who took part. A special thank you to my model the brilliant Jade Denham.

Cargo Lash Activator Extreme

My lashes have never been really thick but I’m lucky in the fact that they are long, so using mascara normally thickens them out but recently I have been finding gaps in my lashes!!!

I decided to try the Cargo Lash Extreme Mascara and Primer, I have read that it makes your lashes longer and thicker in 15 days so I thought I would give it a try.

I got it from Boots for £23 and started using it the begining of May. I’ve used the everyday primer first then the mascara and I also applied the primer at night before bed. The mascara itself isn’t as good at making my lashes look thicker like my normal mascara but with a few coats its wearable.
I have found after using it for the 15 days it made no difference, so I thought I would carry on using it. After around a month, I noticed some new lash growth, this has carried on and I feel I can see a difference now after using it for two months. I will keep using this product even if I just use the primer under my other masacara in the day and apply it alone at night. I think it has made a difference, my lashes look and feel better but its taken longer than the advertised 15 days.

Airbrushing

For those of you that want to look as close to perfect as possible, Airbrush makeup is the way forward. I have recently invested in an airbrush machine. Airbrush makeup is sprayed on through an air compressor as a fine mist of colour that gently covers the skin, giving the appearance of a flawless complexion. Spraying microdots of makeup that rest on the surface of the face looks more natural than traditional makeup because it is not rubbed into the skin and does not exaggerate the pores. This process allows the Airbrush makeup to conceal better while enabling your skin to breathe. This technique has been used in films, theatre, special effects and high end photography. Airbrush make-up is suitable for people of all ages and every skin condition. Airbrush make-up is a great way to achieve a lightweight, flawless foundation that can be blended to match your skin tone and look completely natural. Airbrush make-up will cover many skin imperfections including tattoos, scaring and stretch marks. If it’s your wedding day, or a special occasion, the silicon based smudge proof and waterproof formula ensures you can feel confident that your make-up will last all day and night. I offer airbrush make-up to all my clients, airbrushing make-up is the best possible make-up service around.
Here are a few photographs where I have used airbrush make-up.
