Urban Decay

Now for those of you who know me will know I love Urban Decay eyeshadows, particularly the naked pallets which are a staple of my kit and I have blogged about in the past. I am so excited to reveal the build your own pallets from Urban Decay.

I can't wait to get my hands on this pallet, I love how you can build your own colour pallet and its perfect for my kit. If you havent tried the Urban Decay range go and check it out, there eyeshadows are amazing. http://www.urbandecay.co.uk/

Look at this build your own pallet Urban Decay were giving away to celebrate the relaunch of the eyeshadows and the build your own pallet! I would love this in my kit.

Build your own pallet will be out in the UK in May.

Naked 2 is here!!!

I've been waiting so long for this product from urban decay, I finally manged to get hold of one last week :-)
I fell in love with the 1st release of the naked pallet and use it so much in my kit, its one of my staples. I love the colours and textures of the eyeshadows, the 2nd pallet was a must have before Id even seen the colours!

I love the new case it's sturdier makes it better for carrying around and it doesn't collect dust like the original naked pallet.
The colours in the pallet are beautiful! Only colour repeat from the last pallet in half baked which is a lovely golden tone. The 1st naked pallet was originally limited addition but then Urban Decay bought it back as a permanent line as it sold so well! The new pallet comes with a double ended brush which is nice for blending and a mini gloss which is a nice wearable colour.

Overall I love the Naked 2 pallet as much as original Naked, they are different and both have some amazing wearable day to night tones.

It's going to be released in stores on 6th February so not long to wait. I predict if these pallets sell anything like the first ones you should get your name down on the waiting list now.

I really hope this one live's up to it.

Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model

Last month I worked with Tanya Mihailovic from Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model. She's a lovely girl and a great model.

Here are some photo's from the shoot-

Photographer: Jennie Sherratt
Stylist: Flock Lnd

I created the natural radiant look on Tanya by using Mac face and Body foundation. I used a cream blush and highlighter stick from the Topshop Make up line. Around the eyes I used Urban Decay eyeliner pencil in Whiskey.

For this look I contoured the eyes with a matte brown eyeshadow. I used a Collection 2000 lipstick in Cherry Bomb to make the lips pop.

May Favourites

So I have a few Make-up favourite's from last month I would like to share with you -

Mac lip products - I love the vanilla scent of Mac's lip products, a few of my favourites at the moment are;

Pro Longwear lipstick in Overtime, Lovely pink colour and lasts without making your lips dry or cracking. The colour is very similar to Mac lipstick creme cup but it lasts longer on the lips and has more of a semi matte finish.

Vegas Volt lipstick, Fab colour for the summer and on trend too.

Lip conditioners, I like these so much Ive bought all three colours. Perfect for my lips as they tend to get dry if I keep wearing lipsticks. Love all three colours, I mixed them with lipstick too, to give a glossy finish. They also do a clear one.

Urban decay - Naked Pallet, the colours in this pallet are perfect. They can be used to create a natural look to a smokey eye so versatile and blend well. A great buy, just wish there were a few more matte shades in the pallet.

Collection 2000 - Collagen Curl Mascara in Black. I love this mascara, builds much needed volume in my lashes so easily and stays put throughout the day. The brush is great for helping to lift the lashes too.

Benefit - Dallas was always a favorite of mine when I worked on Benefit. I have rediscovered in in the past month and have been using it. Its a great colour for the summer, looks lovely with a tan.
The one thing about the benefit boxed powders I dislike is the packaging, the boxes look so worn after a few months (as you can see from the photo) but the products inside are fab.

Things I Love ........

I went see Alice in Wonderland in 3D last weekend, It was good. I enjoyed the make-up and costumes in the film, very inspiring. Lots of make-up brands are being inspired by the film and creating Alice in Wonderland theme products, I love this amazing Book of Shadows pallet from Urban Decay.

I would just like it to buy it and sit it on my dressing table, its so pretty! Its a shame its sold out, hopefully they will have some more in stock soon.

The Body Shop have just launched this fabulous Matte and Shimmer Cheek Colour in Pink almost identical to Benefits new sugabomb powder for £10.00 less! This powder is versatile as you could wear it on the eyes as well as the cheeks, a great multi use product for the summer. I love the body shops shimmer waves powders for the cheeks, so this ones a must I will be getting one of these next time I visit the Body Shop.
Who would of thought it but transfer tattoo's are big for the new season. I love tattoo's but I think I will never be able to commit myself to a design I know I would love for years to come, so for me transfer tattoos are the way forward. Chanel have bought back transfer Tattoo's using them in there s/s 2010 show. Developed by Chanel’s own make up artists, Peter Philips who drew them on for the catwalk show but now you can get your very own set of 55 individual tattoos for £49. Not a bad price for a Chanel tattoo!
